Hungry 4 Him believes in helping to educate children so they have the opportunity to step out of the poverty they are trapped in. The goal is to have teachers who love the Lord and not only educate their students but share the love of their Savior through their lessons, actions and the way they discipline. In many ways, these teachers take on the role of a parent since many of these children do not have loving parents in their lives.
The competition for teachers is huge. The public schools in Kenya pay teachers a good salary and offer benefits. In order for the schools we partner with to continue to provide a quality education they need to be able to offer a competitive salary. Our teachers pour their lives into the children and see it as ministry but they also need to feed their own families. By sponsoring these teachers not only are you investing in all of the students but you are caring for their families as well.
